Jessica Scully, the president and CEO of JS Communication Consulting, began her career as a journalist.

Jessica’s articles on medicine, technology, public health, nursing, and other topics have been published in California and national magazines, newspapers, and websites. Her journalism background trained her to ask insightful questions to better understand her clients’ needs. It also gave her invaluable training in writing clearly, concisely, and precisely.

Jessica began writing and editing for companies, nonprofits, and government agencies in 2005. Her clients include medical and public health organizations, research institutions, and universities. Jessica has taught writing courses at Stanford University, the University of California, Irvine, and San Francisco State University.

Jessica holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, where she also took courses in the school of public health. She has a bachelor’s degree from Boston College.
